Pickle is the best of both video and photo sharing together – with a revolutionary twist: in addition to individual photos and
videos, entire channels of content can be posted on any website (MySpace etc.) and updated on the fly with dispatches from your
mobile phone. So with Pickle, you can send straight from your mobile to virtually any website.
We designed Pickle to accommodate the fast approaching next-generation of personal media sharing. Pickle enables you to
seamlessly organize and share ALL your media (photos and videos) from ALL your devices (camera and mobile phone) and provides tools
for traditional after-the-event sharing as well as in-the-moment sharing. |
Videos and Photos Together
Pickle lets you manage your digital media in one place because Pickle supports both photos and video. Pickle’s cross-media user
experience is unmatched.
Great for Content From Both Your Camera and Mobile Phone
Pickle offers e-mail uploading which enables users to send their photos and videos directly from their mobile phone to a channel.
Our mobile capabilities make it easy to contribute items to your collection instantly, transforming an album into a real time feed.
The Pickle Channel Player
The Pickle Channel Player is sort of like a “TV set” that you embed on any website to display the content in that channel.
Our player’s capabilities are unique allowing users to select the appearance, include photos and videos, control caption display,
and play back in full screen mode.
Each Album Can Be a Media Wiki
Pickle is designed so that each album can be a media wiki—whereby multiple people can contribute to the album, and the account
owner maintains control over who can send and what is shared. |

A channel is the place to store all your videos and photos once they’ve been uploaded to your
account. Within each channel you can edit and organize your items. Once everything is in order you can push the whole album
out to friends with PickleMail by clicking Send an Invite under the Share menu, or share your photos and videos with the
world by embedding your channel on any other website. |
There are three ways to display the items in your channels while in your account:
- List View – Shows details about each photo or video in the channel as well as a smaller version of the photo or first video frame.
- Thumbnail View – Shows thumbnail sized versions of each photo or video in the channel without any additional statistics.
- Player View – Shows your channel items in an embeddable slideshow with a scrolling thumbnail index.
There are several ways to edit captions depending on where you are in your Pickle account:
- Immediately after uploading new photos and videos you will be taken to the Upload Complete page which includes a link to
Add Captions and Tags. Follow the link to add descriptions to your new items.
- Once you have added photos and videos to a channel simply click the checkbox next to the items you wish to edit, or
click the topmost checkbox to select all. Next click the Edit Captions and Tags button at the top or bottom of your
Channel to be taken to the editing page.
- Click on the thumbnail of any individual item in your channel, to be taken to the editing page and add additional descriptive
information about your photo or video.
Channels change color depending on their security setting. Red channels are private and include material
that is not shared with others. Green ones can be shared with friends, family and the world depending on the level of security selected
for each individual channel. You can change the security settings for a channel at any time by clicking on Who Can View under the Privacy
menu for each channel. |
Channels that are designated as Password Protected or channel Invitation Recipients Only will display
a key over the green channel box. This indicates that the selected security setting protects the channel items from being viewed by
the general public. To change your channel security settings click the Who Can View link under the Privacy menu for each channel. |
Tags are descriptive words that help you organize and find photos and videos. You can enter individual
tags for each item within your channel via our Edit Captions and Tags feature on your channel page.
To create a default tag for every photo or video added to a specific channel, click on the Who Can Contribute link under the
Privacy menu for each channel. Scroll down and enter the group tags under Automatically Tag Items E-Mailed To This channel. |
Pickle offers three ways to order your photos and videos within a channel or PickleMail. To get
started click Content Order under the Look menu in your channel, or Order the Items in Your PickleMail after selecting your photos
and videos.
Once there, choose from the following three options to sort your photos and video:
- By date taken
- By date uploaded
- Custom Order – create your own story with this drag and drop feature
Pickle makes it easy for friends and family to submit items directly to your channels. To ensure that you maintain complete control
over the items that are shared on your account, Pickle offers the option to approve items e-mailed in to your channel before they are published.
To require approval of submitted items before they are published turn on Approve Contributions Before Publishing either during
Quick Setup or in Who Can Contribute under the Privacy menu of your channel.
All items requiring approval will remain in your Inbox under To Be Approved to await confirmation of your approval to post.
If you choose to automatically publish all items without requiring approval you can still delete unwanted photos and
videos at any time. Simply select the photo or video on your channel in either List or Thumbnail View and click the
Delete option to move the item to your account trashcan. |

PickleMail is just like web e-mail, but it lets you share photos and videos (even large ones) with as
many people as you’d like – without overloading their mailboxes with huge attachments. Our unique technology ensures all your recipients
will be able to see what you want them to see, painlessly.
PickleMail also allows you to select from an array of looks and layouts to customize your message for each individual occasion. |
The channel Player looks the same no matter where it’s viewed. Embedding allows you the flexibility to
broadcast your channel in a more personalized setting and in multiple places, such as a blog, social network profile, and eBay listing, to
enhance content your have already created and posted online. Where you choose to share is up to you, embedding just expands the possibilities. |
Why, yes! Each channel, like a scrapbook or a movie theater, deserves its own personality. If you’d
like, you can dress up the channel for your wedding and dress down the channel for your bowling league (or the other way round,
if you’d prefer).
To select different looks and layouts select Look and Layout under the Look menu in your channel.
Your Account Homepage, where all your public channels are viewed, can also have a customized look. To select your theme click
Change How Your Account HomePage Looks under the Options tab. |
Comments are short or long messages left by people who have viewed your photos and videos on your Shared

Contacts – making it easy to stay up-to-date on everyone’s latest adventures.
The most recently updated accounts will display on your account management homepage, while the complete list of all
your friends and family’s channels can be accessed on the Contacts tab. |
Groups are a great way to save time and keep track of your Contacts. Similar to other e-mail
applications you can link contacts you often correspond with together into one Group (ex. Friends, Family, Softball Team). Next
time you send a PickleMail all you need to do is add the Group to your recipient list and each individual will receive
a copy of your message. |
